SENIOR CONSULTANT / FACILITATOR

Responsibilities as a Senior Consultant/Facilitator

You will be responsible for transformation projects for our clients, especially in the customer experience area. These would require skill-sets including, but not limited to understanding clients’ organization nuances, culture and politics, engaging team members in developing customized proposals and solutions, coordinating and planning resources, and executing project deliverables from hosting meetings, delivering presentations to facilitating workshops, amongst others.  


You will also be involved in client engagement and business development-efforts, where you are expected to build and maintain great customer relationships facilitating better work collaboration. As a Senior Consultant, you will seek opportunities to introduce Emerge to new and potential clients.


Your core responsibilities will comprise:

  • Plan, organize and mobilize internal resources, leveraging on team members’ strengths and abilities

  • Adopt an acute sense of business acumen to conceptualize, develop and co-create high-level proposals and solutions for clients

  • Develop and facilitate workshops and other experiential learning solutions independently – particularly in the area of customer experience and leadership development

  • Maintain client relations at the project-manager level and above, while staying abreast of relevant industry trends, concerns and challenges

  • Grow existing client accounts through expanded business opportunities

  • Seek new business partnerships with potential clients

  • Inspire and grow team members through timely and constructive feedback

  • Work collaboratively with team members across the Emerge Family network


Where necessary and as part of specific project requirements, this role will likely involve travel within China (between 10-30% of your time in some months).

Candidates Must Demonstrate

  • At least 5-7 years of experience and expertise in designing and facilitating workshops for corporate audiences

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with an authentic and confident presence that builds trust

  • Self-leadership and motivation, ability to work with multiple stakeholders under tight timelines and pressure

  • Self-motivated with strong leadership, able to work under pressure and in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Excellent project management skills, being highly-organized and adaptable to different environments

  • Business acumen in picking up client’s business challenges, industry trends and changes

  • Passion and drive for quality work and results at the highest standards

  • Emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate and influence, as a team-player

  • An openness and willingness to learn and be hands-on

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (read, written and spoken)


Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in one or more of these relevant fields – Business Management/Administration, Economics, Human Resources, Marketing, Psychology, Social Sciences

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • A background in management consulting, training and/or customer experience will be an advantage

  • Some experience in managing a small team will be preferred

  • Kindly note that the candidate must have at least 5-7 years of training and/or facilitation experience
